Immortal Island

This project is a fruit of my workshop with almost 20 participants from Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Finland. The workshop was entitled “The corpse of mine” and it was about “Butoh and concentrative body”. The fascinating Opole city was hosted the project and I conducted 10 session workshop. As the name of performance says, it would be about inhabitants of an island that are not able to die or in othe word they are eternals. They struggle to puff the candle of their life symbolically, which s placed inside of a bird cage. it seems to be impossible for them. however, If they success to blow off the candle, they could rest for the rest of the world.
